To deepen the synergy of China-Europe manufacturing and activate new drivers for cross-regional industrial cooperation, on September 4, 2025, a delegation from Zhenjiang Municipal Government of Jiangsu Province, led by Vice Mayor Yin Weimin, paid a visit to Gardermoen'sHungarian Factory for inspection. This visit specially invited representatives from the Municipal Government of Nagyhalász (Hungary) to participate. The three parties conducted in-depth exchanges on core topics such as capacity collaboration, market expansion, and localized development, jointly mapping out a new blueprint for China-Europe manufacturing cooperation.
During the meeting, Wang Lin, General Manager of Gardermoen, provided a comprehensive and systematic introduction to the construction achievements and strategic value of the Hungarian Factory. As a "key fulcrum" in Gardermoen'sinternational layout, the factory officially started production in June 2024. Equipped with advanced production equipment and refined craftsmanship, it focuses on the R&D and manufacturing of core power distribution products such as busways, accurately meeting the demand for high-performance and high-reliability electrical equipment in the European market. Up to now, the factory has achieved a high level of localization: it has not only created a large number of high-quality jobs for the local area but also deeply integrated into the regional industrial ecosystem through localized supply chains, significantly driving the industrial chain upgrading of the local and surrounding areas.
When talking about the supporting factors for the factory's development, Wang Lin specially emphasized the "full-cycle support" role of the Nagyhalász Municipal Government. He stated: "From the effective implementation of tax relief policies, which helps the enterprise reduce operating burdens and enhance development vitality; to the continuous optimization of cross-border logistics efficiency, which ensures the timely and efficient transportation of products and improves market response speed; and further to the professional guidance on EU compliance certification, which assists the enterprise in smoothly entering the European market and avoiding trade risks—the municipal government has always provided precise and efficient support to safeguard the stable development of the enterprise."
After the meeting, on behalf of Zhenjiang Municipal Government, Vice Mayor Yin Weimin presented an inscribed plaque with the message "Strive for Excellence and Achieve Success" to Gardermoen. This not only demonstrates the importance and sincerity of Zhenjiang Municipal Government in deepening bilateral cooperation but also expresses good expectations for the steady progress of cooperative projects and the prosperous development of Gardermoen'soverseas business.
During the on-site inspection of the factory's production line, Vice Mayor Yin Weimin witnessed the efficient operation of the factory's entire process and highly praised the enterprise's international practice. He pointed out: "Zhenjiang City has always taken on the supportive role of a 'dear family member' (a term implying intimate and reliable support), fully supporting local enterprises to 'go global' and actively expand the global market. Gardermoen has set an outstanding example in this regard. It has deeply integrated the technological advantages of Intelligent Manufacturing from China with the demand characteristics of the European market, blazing a unique path of development."
In addition, Csaba Surman, Mayor of Nagyhalász, also fully affirmed the factory's localized practice in the local area, considering it a successful model for China-Hungary capacity collaboration. He promoted the Nagyhalász Industrial Park to the Zhenjiang delegation and expressed a strong willingness to carry out economic cooperation and friendly exchanges with Zhenjiang City. Csaba Surman quoted Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, as saying: "The wave of green transition in Central and Eastern Europe is creating historic opportunities, and collaborative innovation with Chinese partners will become the core engine for regional economic development. The cooperation between Gardermoen and Nagyhalász is a vivid practice of this assertion, providing valuable exploration and reference for both parties in green transition and collaborative innovation."
The visit of Vice Mayor Yin Weimin and the Zhenjiang Municipal Government delegation to Gardermoen Hungarian Factory has not only deepened the understanding and trust among the three parties but also infused new vitality into China-Europe manufacturing cooperation. It is believed that in the future, the three parties will continue to join hands and move forward together, achieving more fruitful results in areas such as capacity collaboration, market expansion, and localized development, and jointly promoting China-Europe manufacturing to a higher level.
