Gardermoen Donates Fitness Equipment to Zhenjiang Primary and Secondary Schools to Support Youth Health and Growth
Zhenjiang, China – 9 June 2025 – Gardermoen, a high-tech enterprise specializing in intelligent power distribution products and innovative solutions with a global presence in over 10 countries and regions, has donated a batch of fitness equipment worth over 300,000 RMB to multiple primary and secondary schools in Zhenjiang through the Zhenjiang Economic Development Zone Social Development Bureau. The initiative aims to support the development of youth sports and enhance campus health infrastructure.
On the morning of 5 June, Ms. Ren Jing, Deputy General Manager of Gardermoen, led a delegation to attend the official donation and plaque-awarding ceremony at Pingchang Primary School in Zhenjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone. The event was attended by senior officials, including Mr. Zhao Desheng, Deputy Director of the Social Development Bureau, Mr. Sun Sheng, Principal of Pingchang Primary School, and Mr. Zhuang Xun, Head of the Education Section of the Social Development Bureau.
In her address, Ms. Ren Jing stated: "Young people are the future of the nation, and a strong physique is the cornerstone of growth and success. Through this donation, we hope to create a superior sports environment for teenagers, encouraging them to step out of the classroom during breaks, build physical strength, and cultivate lifelong exercise habits."
Principal Sun Sheng highly praised Gaardermoen’s philanthropy, noting: "This donation not only enriches our school’s sports resources but also conveys the deep care of enterprises for education. It sets a commendable example for respecting teachers, valuing education, and giving back to the community." During the ceremony, the Gaardermoen team also toured the school’s sports facilities to assess current infrastructure and student activity spaces.
The donated equipment, carefully selected based on students’ age, height, and weight, includes treadmills, elliptical machines, gym racks, seated low row machines, seated chest press machines, lat pulldown machines, and leg extension machines. The initiative benefits six primary and secondary schools across Zhenjiang, reaching over 10,000 students. Some schools plan to use the equipment to launch specialized physical education courses, enhancing both safety and fun in sports activities.
A school principal commented: "Our previous sports facilities were outdated. The new equipment will significantly enrich students’ extracurricular activities and inject vitality into our campus."
